David Garvin, son of the late Otis Garvin Sr. and Johnnie Mae Garvin was born on May 17, 1955 and transitioned to his heavenly home on February 13, 2021.
David attended the public schools of Aiken County, South Carolina, graduating from Wagener-Salley High School with the Class of 1976. David joined Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He worked for Graniteville Mills (Hickman Division) for 20 years, and after retiring from there he worked at Beaulieu in Aiken, Walmart, Aiken County School transportation, and for the Council of aging transportation division in Aiken, South Carolina.
David leaves to cherish the life that he lived, his wife of 38 years, Kethleen Bettis Garvin; two sons, Maurice Cannon of Lexington, South Carolina, Wayman Gabriel Gilliam of Monetta, South Carolina; a Grand-Daughter Monica Cannon of Pelion, South Carolina; two sisters Dianne Wise of Aiken, South Carolina, and Dorothy Mae (Hayes Jr.) Staley of Wagener, South Carolina; two brothers, Otis Garvin Jr., and Levon Lee (Catherine) Garvin of Wagener, SC; nine sister-in- laws, 6 brother-in-laws; one aunt Louis Scott of Salley South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
