Emma Julia Cannon Moore was the daughter of the late Jessie and Emma T Cannon. She was born on October 28, 1947 in Lexington County, South Carolina. Emma transitioned to her heavenly home on March 23, 2021. She was married to the late Robert Moore Sr.
Emma was educated at Rosenwald High School in Lexington, SC. She was a proud hornet, class of 1965.
Emma was a Sunday school teacher of the Junior class at St. Paul Baptist Church, member of the soup kitchen, and Stuff-a-Bus campaign, St. John Baptist Daisy Dosha Martha Circle.
Emma retired from Allied Chemical after 34 years of service and went on to work at Tiny Junction Daycare for 11 years.
Emma is survived by a faithful daughter Sheryl Moore Fox; 2 sons, Elvis Robertson, Kevlin Corley; special daughter, Shonda Roberts; special son, Malcom Roberts; loving niece, Delores C. Burgess; 2 sister in laws, Susan Roberts and Felecia Roberts; Grandchildren, OSH Robertson (Tiffany), Careel Robertson, Eliyah Robertson, KC Corley, Taja, and Jate; Great-Grandchildren, Kyree, Jajapya, Bryson, Kinsley; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and all that loved her and called her ‘Nana’; special friends, Linda Davis, Constance Flemming, Martha Caughman, Mildred Wise, Donna Williams, and all of the class of 1965.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband, son Robert Moore Jr; sister Bonnie Kay Cannon, and a step daughter Robbie Niles.
