Willie Black Jr. Obituary

Willie Marion Black Jr., son of the late Willie Marion Black Sr. and Roberta Black was born on October 8, 1947 in Lexington, South Carolina.

Willie was a graduate of Lexington Rosenwald High School, class of 1965.  He enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and served his country for four years.  During this time, he completed a tour in Vietnam. 

Willie was a faithful and dedicated member of New Bethel AME Church where he was very supportive to the different church organizations.

Willie married the love of his life, Linda Waring Black, and to this union they were blessed to raise two children: Willie Marion Black III and Dina Monique Black.

After leaving the military, Willie became employed with Allis Chalmers and later Cooper Power Tools.

Willie loved animals. Throughout his life, he cared for a number of dogs and setup feeders for birds.  He leaves behind to mourn, his favorite cat, "Honey", along with several unnamed cats.

Those that preceded willie in passing include his parents, and brother Tony Allen Black.

Willie leaves to cherish the memories of the life he lived including his wife, Linda Black; two sons willie Marion Black III (Billy) and Earl Jones; his daughter Dina Monique Black and a host of other family members and friends.
